Squashing of the deckchair is a sex position whose name was popularized by the movie American Pie 2. It can be considered a variant of the missionary position.

In this position the woman lies on her back and the man lies or kneels in alignment with the vagina or anus. The man will hold (or press with his shoulder) the woman's leg(s) upwards to adapt the positioning of the woman's pelvis.
This position, as believed by some, achieves a faster/intenser rate of female orgasm. This can be accomplished through lifting the women's leg(s) higher upwards, the deeper the man's penis can fully penetrate.
A variation of this position can be to alternate the legs that are pushed up; as pushing upward both of woman's legs can be tiring for the partner - as well as some women are stimulated more if only one leg is pushed up.
Furthermore, there are also degrees of "pressure" that can be applied to the leg(s), which result in different sensations for both partners.
Advantages:
- A relative play on the missionary position, same advantages apply, but with deeper penetration achieved
- Moreover there is no "weight" factor on the female partner, and allowing for more control of the sexual act
Disadvantages:
- The same disadvantages can be seen here as in the missionary position
- This position sometimes produces a quick male orgasm (premature ejaculation)
- This position is considered by some to be "boring" due to its ease
